This is a lovely bride from late last year that I worked on, Naomi. She got married at the Roma Street Parklands, Brisbane in Spring. I think she was absolutely breathtaking – however I may be a little bit biased because she is also one of my best friends!
Naomi has a Korean mother which means that she had AMAZING skin to work with. I’ve always enjoyed working on her face but I am particularly proud of this and I know that she loved it which is the most important thing.
I used a silicon based foundation airbrushed onto the skin, followed with powder blush and very, very soft contouring under the cheekbones, jawline, hairline, and down the sides of the nose and a highlight dusted along the top of the cheeks, under the highest point of the brows and in the cupids bow.
Naomi wanted to veer away from the usual neutral colours most brides ask for and we incorporated an incredible soft, dusty purple shadow blended out into a charcoal shade in the outer corners to take the look from a daytime outdoor wedding to the night time reception.
I custom mixed a lipstick shade for her and prepped the lips with liner so that even while eating, drinking etc, there is still always some colour to the lips.
The makeup wore extremely well considering that it was actually quite a warm day and the sun was relentless. We also had a very early start for makeup so it lasted well over 14 hours without incident.
Here are a couple more pictures for you that I just loved.
